MY STORY
In 2004 I had a dream to having my own flowers shop. As I walked through Bucktown with my husband, talking about opening a flower shop, that dream seem close but also far away. We were in the planning stages of starting a family, and trying to start a business seemed impossible. We decided to wait and start our family first. In 2010, I walked passed a storefront on Western Avenue, and my dream came back. As soon as I reached out to the owner of the store front, I found out that I was 8 weeks pregnant with my second child. There was no way was I going to start my dream of owning a flower shop now so I had to wait again. In 2012, that same store was sitting empty so we pulled the trigger, and signed a 3 year lease 2 weeks before Valentine’s Day. Since then, I haven’t stop working on my dream and my family.
Today, I’m located in the financial district at the Chicago Board of Trade building. There I design floral and plant designs for all occasions. I have a following amount of clients that have stayed with me since I was at Western. My dedication on creating a unique arrangement is what keeps me going, and the challenges put in front of me by extending my client list is key.
My approach to designing is to always wow myself first. This way I have a 50/50 chance to wow you! I work with some of the best importers and local farms available. Shipments of flowers arrive on a weekly bases; Monday from South America, Wednesday from Holland, and as needed from local farmers.
Go ahead and look around my website to see if anything catches your eye. These arrangements are changed about every 2 weeks so don’t wait too long either. If you don’t see something appealing to you, try to challenge me and pick “Designer’s Choice”. Let me know your budget and the different types of flowers you are interested in. I will send you a picture of your arrangement, and I’m sure you will love them (but it is ok if you want to change things up a little). I can’t wait to see what you guys have in mind. Enjoy shopping ,and come back anytime!
